Threat of Violence Assessment and Management
Timely consultation that assesses the validity and determines the effective course of action to defuse an active threat
Workplace Violence Prevention
Helping leaders assess, defuse, and manage potentially violent situations
When a person decides to commit violence, it is important to understand that they don’t just snap. There are emotional and behavioral signs and discrete indicators that the individual has provided prior to making the decision to commit violence. When these signs or messages are received, timing is of the essence to assess and determine if the threat is a viable one and then determine the most appropriate course of action.
Through R3’s Threat of Violence Assessment & Management (TOV), organizational leaders are provided with a timely consultation to determine if an individual poses a threat to others or the company. If a threat is determined to be valid, we provide a recommended course of action for resolving the potential violence. The overall goal and central purpose of a TOV assessment & management is to mitigate the likelihood of a violent act occurring and defuse the potentially threatening individual. Effective TOV assessment & management can re-establish a sense of safety or security within the organization and minimize workplace disruption.
TOV assessment & management provides
